My Practice
A Holistic Approach
I work with the all the parts that make up the personality - thoughts, feelings and the body, as well as what is beyond the personal - the transpersonal - the consciousness that extends beyond the individual.
The most important part of counselling is the relationship we will build together – it is through this we will explore what it is like to be two people together. What is it like for you to share your story? What is it like to have the commitment to weekly therapy. What is it like to be met in your suffering? It is through exploring this relationship, and its ups and downs, that the therapy is alive, impactful and personal and can create the space to find healing in your distress.
Tell the story of your life
At its heart I find counselling is when someone can tell their story and have it truly heard.
Then we can explore the impact this narrative has had on the teller. Do you recognise it as the whole story? and why is it still being told?
Is an alternative possible? and what might be the ways this narrative can change going forward? What are the stories the teller hopes their future will hold?
Who I work with
Many practitioners write a list of issues they work with. I take a different approach. You are more than a label or a diagnosis, so let’s have a discussion to see how I can be of service to you. I have wide ranging experience of working with clients from different backgrounds, presenting issues, and therapeutic needs.
If I think another practitioner will be better suited to your needs, I will happily provide you with some recommendations.
I warmly welcome all clients to my practice and work with a wide range of differing ages, cultures, faiths, abilities and backgrounds. I am a member of the LGBTQ+ community and welcome clients from this group.
Where I work
I have a consulting rooms in Overbury Yard in the Haringey Warehouse District, N15 and the Psychosynthesis Trust in London Bridge SE1, if you would like in person counselling.
I also provide online counselling. Please ask is this is something you feel would work better for you.
